American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

Course Description:

This is an initial course for Healthcare Providers. Many healthcare industries and professionals are required to have this level of CPR training. This course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics. This course includes adult, child, and infant CPR and AED use in addition to bag-valve mask ventilation and how to care for someone who is choking. American Heart Association BLS certification will be awarded upon successful completion of the course.

This course is designed to provide participants with the necessary tools to become an American Heart Association CPR Instructor. There is some pre-course work that needs to be completed prior to the start of the face-to-face session on May 4th. Once a candidate has registered and paid for the course the participant will be provide an access code for the pre-course. Code will be e-mailed to the participant. Cost of the course includes the training, instructor manual and pre-course access code. Registration and payment is due no later than April 25, 2024.

Heartsaver First Aid with CPR AED

This course teaches the first aid skills needed to assist a person who is suffering a medical emergency or traumatic injury. The basic techniques of adult CPR and how to use an AED are also included.
