Attendance and Grades
Hi, I'm Brook.
I bet your goal is to get the highest grades you can in your classes.
Wanna know the best way to do that? Go...to...class.
Research shows that regular attendance is the single most important thing to help your grades.
For some classes, attendance counts towards your grade.
It'll say so on your syllabus.
This goes for online classes too. Log in often and take part in online activities.
And remember, if you want to withdraw from a class, you need to officially withdraw.
Simply not showing up may result in an F and count against your grade point.
And that's not good.
If you're struggling with an assignment or class, check into tutoring or get help at a drop-in center.
Watch the Tutoring video for more information. Final grades determine your GPA.
You'll need at least a 2.0 to remain in good academic standing.
Earn a 3.5 or higher and you'll be on the Dean's List! Whoo-hoo!
