If you are a veteran of military service, your next step may be college.
You may be eligible for veterans educational benefits, tutoring, and counseling through
the U.S. Veterans Administration, the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs, and
Nicolet College. Disabled veterans are eligible for additional benefits.
For Wisconsin Veterans, the Wisconsin GI Bill will pay 100% of the Nicolet tuition. Other programs available for qualifying veterans include the Montgomery GI Bill, National Guard benefits, and the Post 9/11 GI Bill.
Children and spouses of veterans who died, became totally disabled, M.I.A., or captured as a result of military service may also be eligible for educational assistance.
Veterans who have earned eligibility for benefits through active military service, selective reserve or National Guard, may be certified to receive them through the Financial Aid Office or County Veterans Service Office. State and federal benefits include: Montgomery G.I. Bill, Dependents, Selective Reserve, National Guard, Disabled Veterans and State of Wisconsin Part-Time Study. Most Nicolet programs are approved for benefits from state or federal programs.
