Nicolet College Instructor-Faculty Quality Assurance Requirements (FQAs)
Certification is required to teach in the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS).
Academic Program Requirements:
Master's Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the discipline is required. Master's Degree in the discipline is preferred.
Occupational Program Requirements:
Education - Bachelor's Degree in the discipline or a closely related field is required. Master's Degree in the discipline is preferred.
In evaluating candidates, Nicolet may consider a combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Experience - Two years (4,000 hours) of verified work experience in the discipline is required. Experience must be in the discipline or related occupations.
Occupational experience must include one year (2,000 hours) within the past five years. Recent teaching experience in post-secondary higher education may substitute for up to one year of the occupational experience requirement. Additional experience in the discipline outside the field of education is preferred.
