Manufacturing Technical

Northwoods manufacturers are experiencing unprecedented change in adapting to the 21st century economy. Increased competition in a global market and a focus on quality, productivity, and price are shaping the modern manufacturing landscape.

And advanced technologies are transforming the way the work gets done. Get your workforce up to speed and help them gain the new knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the changing manufacturing environment with targeted training solutions through Nicolet College.

Manufacturing Skill Standards Certification (MSSC)

The MSSC is a nationwide, industry-led training, assessment, and certification system focused on the core skills and knowledge needed by manufacturing production workers. MSSC offers industry a new set of tools to ensure that employees are flexible, easily trainable, and highly motivated knowledge workers in high-performance organizations. The MSSC system awards the Certified Production Technician (CPT) credential to individuals who pass four production modules: Safety, Quality Practices and Measurement, Manufacturing Processes and Production, and Maintenance Awareness.

Nicolet College is both a testing and training center for MSSC.
