Are you planning to earn a bachelor's degree? Nicolet offers two primary transfer pathways. Your best option depends on your educational goals—whether you plan to transfer immediately into a bachelor's degree or begin working after earning a technical degree and continue your education later.

Understanding Your Transfer Options

University Transfer Liberal Arts (UTLA) - AA or ASAssociate of Applied Science - AAS

Both UTLA and AAS degrees can provide a pathway to a bachelor's degree. The difference is that UTLA is designed specifically for university transfer, while AAS programs are primarily career-focused and may offer transfer opportunities through specific agreements or pathways.

UTLA Pre-Majors

Some bachelor's degree pathways include an official UTLA Pre-Major.

A pre-major is a recommended course sequence within your AA or AS degree that has been developed in partnership with a participating university. It helps students prepare for a specific bachelor's degree while completing their associate degree.

Pre-majors are available only for select majors and universities. If your intended major or transfer institution is not listed, your Success Coach can help you build a personalized transfer plan.

General AAS Transfer Agreements

These agreements are available to students who earn any Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from Nicolet College. They provide transfer pathways to bachelor's degree programs at partner universities. Available majors and admission requirements vary by institution, so select a university to view the programs and details.

Students are encouraged to meet with their Success Coach to discuss transfer options, degree planning, and the best pathway to meet their goals.
