Beginning Ceramics

Students new to the art of ceramics will learn the basics. This is an instructor-led class on creating ceramic forms using hand-building and wheel throwing techniques, and basic glazing methods. Classes will typically begin with demonstrations, followed by instructor support for the remainder of class. Wheel throwing is a physically demanding art form involving bending and hand and arm strength for long lengths. Course Fee includes: 25 lbs of clay, firing, glazing, and the use of studio tools. Glazing and pick up will be arranged with the instructor at the end of sessions.
