Every plant has a purpose; underneath your feet wild medicines grow. Participants will learn how to identify plants, herbs, and mushrooms that they may utilize for their own apothecary. We will first learn the identifying parts and terms used and safety of working with those plants. While discussing it we will focus on non-emergency scenarios. We will learn about application, harvest, storage, and preservation. Participants will create a salve to take home from the woods of Nicolet College. Recipes will be reviewed and given for further extension learning.
