Nicolet College Academic Centers Provide Free Instruction and Support for Students
Nicolet College’s seven Academic Success Centers located throughout the Northwoods will be open for in-person teaching this fall to provide free instruction for individuals preparing to attend college, build academic skills for the workplace, earn a GED or HSED, learn basic computer skills, or learn to speak English.
Instruction will start Sept. 1, unless otherwise noted.
Along with the in-person times and locations listed below, flexible remote instruction is available Monday through Friday on a flexible schedule. An internet connection is required for remote learning.
At this time face coverings are required when meeting indoors and in person with an instructor.
Instruction in Rhinelander is available on the Nicolet Campus on the second floor of the Lakeside Center in room 207. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
In Eagle River, the center is located in the Walter E. Olson Memorial Library, 203 N. Main St. Hours are Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Instruction starts Wednesday, Sept. 8.
In Minocqua, instruction is available at the Lakeside Plaza, Suite 2B, 103 Elm St., Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Instruction in Lac du Flambeau is available at the Lac du Flambeau Community Education Center, Nicolet Classroom, 562 Peace Pipe Rd., on Mondays and Wednesdays from noon to 4 p.m.
In Tomahawk, the center is located at the Tomahawk Public Library, 300 W. Lincoln Ave. and is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In Crandon, the center is located at the Associated Bank, Lower Level, 210 S. Lake Ave., and is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Instruction starts Tuesday, Sept. 6.
In the Forest County Potawatomi Education Department, 209 E. Elm St., Crandon, instruction is available Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
