Nicolet College Celebrates Graduating Cosmetology Class of 2023
Fourteen individuals in the Cosmetology program at Nicolet College advanced from college students to college graduates as the college recently held the highly anticipated-completion celebration for the Cosmetology class of 2023.
The event marked the culmination of their rigorous training and the beginning of their careers in the beauty industry.
"We are incredibly proud of the graduates of the Cosmetology class of 2023," said Marie Stott, head instructor of the program. "They’ve demonstrated an unwavering commitment to their craft and have shown tremendous growth throughout their journey. All of them have mastered the latest techniques, trends, and practices in the Cosmetology field. We have every confidence that they will achieve remarkable success in their careers."
The graduates are now eligible to take the Wisconsin Cosmetology License Examination. Upon receiving a license, graduates will be ready for employment in a variety of positions in barbershops or salons.
During their course of study in the 39-credit technical diploma program, the graduates learned a wide variety of skills that included basic and advanced hair cutting and styling, adding texture and color to hair, nail and skin care, salon science, shaving, and communication skills.
"With a curriculum that emphasizes hands-on experience, industry knowledge, and the latest trends, these graduates are ready to become trailblazers in the field and enjoy successful careers as they move into the next chapter of their lives,” Stott added.
The next start date for the year-long Cosmetology program is Sept. 5
