Nicolet College Foundation Launches Alumni Giving Week April 3 to 9
In an effort to build relationships with Nicolet College alumni, the Nicolet College Foundation will hold its first annual Alumni Giving Week from April 3 to 9.
“Our alumni know better than anyone else what a gem Nicolet College is in our community,” said Heather Schallock, vice president of Community Engagement and executive director of the Nicolet College Foundation.
“There are many ways to give back. Donors can choose to make a gift for scholarships, student emergency assistance, and more. Anyone can give during the week and Nicolet College alumni are especially encouraged to take advantage of this time to donate.”
Since its founding in 1967, over 12,000 individuals have graduated from Nicolet College. Eighty-eight percent of these graduates live and work in Wisconsin and 63 percent live and work in the Nicolet College District.
Class of 2022 Nursing alum Evie LaPointe said she was grateful for the scholarship she received while at Nicolet.
“I was honored to be able to use scholarships to help finish my degree, and to someday offer scholarships to help – just like they have helped me,” she said.
Class of 2021 Substance Use Disorder Counselor alum Shelby Daniels shares why giving back as an alum is important.
“I give back because I believe in the community that raised me. Being in a rural area means we face challenges that many don’t, so standing together and becoming what the community needs has been and always will be my goal for my own children and all future generations.”
The Foundation thanks Superior Diesel for supporting Alumni Giving Week as the Founding Sponsor, and thanks Peoples State Bank and Blain’s Farm and Fleet for their support as Bronze Sponsors.
