Nicolet College to Provide Students a Direct Transfer Opportunity to UW-Madison Online

Nicolet College University Transfer students can become Badgers without leaving the Northwoods

Nicolet College is proud to announce a new partnership with the University of Wisconsin–Madison, creating a streamlined pathway for students to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration degree through UW–Madison Online. This agreement guarantees that students who complete their Associate of Arts degree at Nicolet College and meet all UW–Madison admission requirements can transfer a minimum of 60 credits to UW–Madison, entering with junior-level academic standing.

“Nicolet College is thrilled to offer this opportunity to our students,” said Nicolet College President Kate Ferrel. “This partnership with UW–Madison provides a seamless transition for our students to continue their education at a prestigious university, all while staying in the Northwoods. The ability to complete both the associate and bachelor’s degrees online is a significant advantage for our students, particularly those balancing other commitments such as family and work.

Upon finishing their associate degree and meeting all requirements, Nicolet College University Transfer students may have guaranteed admission to the prestigious Wisconsin School of Business online business administration bachelor’s degree programs in management, human resources, and marketing.

The associate degree at Nicolet College can also be completed entirely online, providing students with flexible options to pursue their education wherever they are. This collaboration ensures that students who meet the transfer requirements are granted direct admission into an online Bachelor of Business Administration program, enabling them to continue their academic journey without the cost associated with moving to Madison.

“We’re proud to meet the needs of students who want to complete their bachelor’s degree but cannot be a traditional residential student in Madison,” said Maya Evans, associate dean and director of UW–Madison Online. “This online option helps us increase access to more outstanding Wisconsin students and enriches our Badger community.”

To celebrate the partnership, Nicolet College is hosting a Badger tailgate party as the UW Badgers take on Northwestern on October 19. The event will begin 30 minutes before gametime at Nicolet College. The game will be shown on multiple large screen monitors with traditional tailgate food, snacks, and beverages.

Degrees through UW–Madison Online can be completed 100% online, allowing students to advance their careers with a valuable degree while maintaining their current lifestyle. This partnership underscores both institutions' commitment to accessible, high-quality education.
