Welcome, Kate Ferrel - Nicolet College's New President
Kate Ferrel shares a welcome message as she begins her new role as Nicolet College’s 7th President. She expresses her gratitude to serve as a leader for the college and defines her personal philosophy of higher education. Kate strives to approach students and stakeholders with empathy and transparency and to serve them in ways that fosters curiosity, growth, supports their personal development, and challenges them to realize the possibilities.
Kate approaches her work with optimism, humor, and with a servant leader’s heart to encourage diversity of thought, to create a culture of trust, to maintain an unselfish mindset, and to foster leadership in others. She recognizes the community she serves as a diverse group and encourages ongoing feedback to help prioritize work for the future. Kate ends her welcome with an invitation to always let her know how we, the college, might serve you.
