Start With Academic Success
The Academic Success Program offers you a broad range of classes and services to support your academic journey and help turn your educational goals into a reality. Academic Success services are provided at no cost to the student and include college prep, support while in occupational programs and general education courses, GED/HSED prep, computer basics, time and financial management, career exploration, basic skills and literacy, note and test-taking techniques, and more.
Free Tutoring
Online Tutoring
Receive free online assistance with your classwork from professional tutors. You may work online with Nicolet tutors during lab hours.
Writing tutors can also help you with your writing assignment through email wtutor@nicoletcollege.edu. Attach a Word document and your information for assistance.
NetTutor online tutoring is also available in Brightspace through your MyNicolet account. NetTutor is a third-party tutoring service that provides 24/7 help for many subjects.
To access NetTutor:
- Login to MyNicolet:
- Click on Brightspace Login
- Click on Nicolet Tools drop down list
- Click NetTutor
- Select from subject groups to find tutor.
- Drop off questions or check hours for live tutor availability

Assessment Center
Admissions-related assessments are given to measure current academic skills to determine appropriate entry level courses. Learn more about the Assessment Center here.
Credit for Prior Learning
Earn credit toward your degree for knowledge, skills, and abilities you have gained from past experience. Credit for prior learning may be granted for high school coursework, apprenticeship, credit by exam, work experience, military education and experience, and/or business and industry training. Contact your Success Coach for more information or learn more here.
Course Additions & Withdrawls
If you’re officially registered for a course, non-attendance does not constitute an official withdrawal from your course. You must fill out a withdrawal form to withdraw. The specific withdrawal deadlines are listed on your class schedule, syllabi, or can be obtained by contacting your instructor or success coach/advisor. If you receive financial aid, you should contact the Financial Aid Office before requesting to officially withdraw from courses to determine any potential financial impacts. Grades
Check your final grades in courses through your MyNicolet portal. You need at least a 2.0 GPA to remain in good academic standing. Earn a 3.5 or higher to make the Dean’s List.
Transcripts
Your transcript includes information about your education including courses taken, credits completed, grades, and degrees or certificates awarded. Click here to learn how to request an official transcript online. The Welcome Center can assist you with enrollment verification, “good student” discount verification for auto insurance, or other types of verifications.
