Bring the kids out for an exciting family-friendly evening celebrating creativity and innovation at the Global Game Jam Northwoods Showcase! Experience a hands-on gaming session, where local students will showcase their video games and non-digital (analog) creations. Then, enjoy a presentation in the theater by Jeremy Nikolai, a professional game designer, who will give us a peek into the world of game design. The term “jam” refers to collaborative music sessions, and this “game jam” brings together students from the community to share the games developed over their past few weeks. Nikolai mentors these budding game designers, guiding them as they bring their ideas to life. Prepare to be impressed by the creativity and skill of the emerging designers as there will be opportunity to play the games they’ve built.
