Title: Notice of Outside Employment and Adjunct Teaching Assignments
Number: AP 4.02
Adopted: March 1995
Reviewed: July 2024
Revised: July 2024
Full-time employees should consider Nicolet College as their primary employer. This policy does not prevent an employee from accepting outside activity, employment, self-employment, or adjunct teaching assignments that does not interfere or conflict with the employee’s full-time College duties. However, employees must notify the College of outside employment to ensure no conflict exists within their performance of Nicolet College job duties.
Examples of activities that shall be reported include coaching sports, house rental ownership, side hustle “work,” serving as an elected official, serving on committees/boards and community organizations not related to your position.
To ensure that there is no conflict of interest, employees must consult with their supervisor, and submit the Notice of Outside Activity Employment or Adjunct Teaching form to Human Resources. Employees shall receive approval from both the employee’s supervisor and Human Resources before engaging in the outside activity or adjunct teaching assignments.
