Founded in 1997, the MadHatters are the first and premier men’s a cappella group at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Davina and the Vagabonds have grown from a down-and-dirty blues band into one of the most exciting acoustic ensembles on the international stage. This high-energy quintet has established itself with a stellar live show, a professional look, and good old-fashioned hard work. Artspower Presents: Amber Brown is Not a Crayon

Amber Brown is having what may be the worst year of her life. She and Justin Daniels were the perfect team: they laughed at each other’s jokes, sat next to each other in class, and became best friends. But now things are different. Justin’s house has been sold and he is moving to Alabama. ArtsPower’s uniquely funny and forthright musical portrays a feisty young girl who refuses to let her problems get the better of her. Delivered in a spirited four-part harmony, their talents create a charming concert of holiday and seasonal songs sure to bring you tidings of good cheer. Non perishable food and monetary donations for local pantries are welcome.

Mick Sterling's at Christmas

At Christmas is a unique blend of family-fueled comedy and drama brilliantly written and performed by three alumni of Dudley Riggs’ Brave New Workshop, as well as a live, 6-piece band, featuring one of the Twin Cities’ favorite front men, Mick Sterling, and Brave New Workshop’s musical director, Peter Guertin. At Christmas is like seeing a show being performed in your own living room with stories that happened in your own family. An Evening with Paul Ehlers and Friends

As a lifelong Rhinelander musician, Paul will bid a fitting farewell to the Northwoods with an evening of his favorite songs and fellow musicians. His musical style is firmly rooted in “Americana” – a distinct mix of Country, Folk, Blues, and good ‘ol Rock N Roll. You may also know Paul from his Rhinelander collaborations including Slim Pickin’s, Ruckus, the Usual Suspects, Krazy Chester, and Me and Paul. After a long bicycle ride, Paul will retire in Cornucopia where he will devote his energy to the Society for the Preservation of the Winged Eel.

Zorba Paster
Dr. Zorba Paster is an NPR host, broadcast journalist, author, university professor, practicing family physician, and one of the Dalai Lama’s personal physicians. Zorba’s down-to-earth, personal style makes his Saturday NPR show both entertaining and informative. Dr. Paster’s presentation will be based on his book, “The Longevity Code: Your personal prescription for a longer, sweeter life.” He touches on five spheres that impact a person’s life – physical, mental, social, spiritual, and material.
